- Indians are the worst tourists in the world.
- When in doubt, take the train. Apart from death and taxes, the Indian Railways is one thing that runs for certain despite all the the horror stories that you've heard.
- You will get Delhi Belly despite the hand sanitizers and bottled water. We Indians get it too.
- Do not order South Indian food in Punjab, or North Indian food in Kerala.
- The North East is prettier than you think and the people are friendlier than those you'll find in the rest of India. And no, they are not Chinese or Nepalese!
- There is much more to India than Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Manali - Varanasi - Goa.
- Pushkar is over rated. Hampi is under rated.
- Orissa is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
- There is a temple on every second hill in India.
- India does not make good beer.
- Some of the most interesting Indians are found inside a dingy bar near the Railway station.
- There is no photograph that defines India.
- The real India does live in the village. Still.
