Travel

Station platforms on a cold evening
The smell of chai and bread omelette...

Cheap paperbacks at a bus stand
Conductors screaming at the top of their voices...

Rum and coke in shady bars with red and green light bulbs
Thick cigarette smoke hanging in the air...

Butter chicken and naan at the highway dhaba
Truckers' tales, Country Liquor on a charpoy...

Side lower berth during monsoon days
Pearls of water dripping from the window bars...

Mountain air burning my nostrils
The sun rising over the snowy peaks...

Well people, the road always beckons... each and every moment spent on my desk makes me itch even more to get out there.. and yes Sriram, I'm waiting for the monsoon too.

ah, gives me some nostalgia this.
Head out and head away, travel builds character in addition to building fond memoirs.
