What an amazing beginning to my photo-blogging career: Last night while driving home, me and C came across this spectacular pair - the Crescent Moon and the Venus in a rare celestial event called the "Lunar occultation of the Venus". It'll be another 30 years before I can take another photo like this.

Image Details:
Camera: Canon EOS 350D Digital
Lens:
Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 APO DG Macro
Aperture: f/11
Shutter Speed: 2 sec
Focal Length: 300mm

Many thanks. I saw this too last evening, when I went up to my roof just by chance, and immediately noticed the moon and Venus. I rushed to get my camera, and took a snap. But my pic is nowhere as nice as this.

Hey Nomad,

I landed here from your other blog. I must say I am impressed with your blog; not only for the mere pictures themselves, but also for their soul!

And I liked his very first snap of yours the best.

I am an amateur photographer (for the past 2+ years), still struggling to get to terms with my Canon Powershot S3 IS .. once I'm comfortable with that I'l probably graduate to a DSLR.

I have a photoblog at Self-critic Shutterbug. Please do visit and let me know your comments.
