Yes, it is sad that modernisation always kills nature .. But as you rightly said, we are travelers on holiday .. The hardships that the residents must be putting up with to actually live there should be the greater consideration .. I wish we also had the resources and determination that some of the developed countries have - of making modern amenities coexist with nature .. Sadly such things are not even the last priority for our country :(Aarthyhttp://amheretowrite.blogspot.in/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20865411.post-13524536538219194632014-05-09T13:23:17.248+05:302014-05-09T13:23:17.248+05:30@Sriram - Progress unfortunately comes with a blud...@Sriram - Progress unfortunately comes with a bludgeon these days :(nomadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14659089058281311893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20865411.post-86504881906823874572014-05-09T13:20:45.534+05:302014-05-09T13:20:45.534+05:30@MinCat - I did mention the train's name. It's somewhat similar to the traveller's arrogance that you had written about earlier. It's not a museum, after all. It's real people, real livelihoods and real ambitions. At the same time, having seen both sides of the coin, one wishes dearly for some things to have stayed the same. Couldn't it have been done in a more sustainable manner, keeping the greenery and generating less waste? Retain the British era station building and renovate it instead?

Somehow save the semaphore gantries, please?Sriramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01191368051234069672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20865411.post-57150512842551769862014-05-09T13:13:11.531+05:302014-05-09T13:13:11.531+05:30tell us the name of train please? so other people ...tell us the name of train please? so other people who feel your sadness can also ride on it before broad gauge comes?MinCathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04535698803359528391noreply@blogger.com
